November 2009
Van 1 - Maybury, Edinburgh
Message: The dangers of using your mobile phone while driving

KDS are very proud to see this come to fruition following an idea Stevie Kidd had back in March of this year.
However, this is only the beginning of a journey, where partnership and relationships can lead to more prominent road safety messages being displayed at Shell and similar companies. The ultimate goal is, of course, to save lives on our roads.
KDS would like to thank the Shell staff, management and senior stakeholders who helped make this possible as well as our own staff team for buying into our vision.
KDS aim to continue to grow and develop our partnerships with the aim of spreading our unique road safety messages into the public eye and in applicable business sectors. We strongly believe this can make a difference and if it even saves a few lives then we are proud to have made a difference.
MD Stevie Kidd and the KDS Group have a goal and a global vision of having one road safety vehicle and one ambassador driver per distribution company in every country of the world.
Stevie commented “That is my vision. However, it will take partnerships to realise this vision. I have been talking to a haulage company who truck around the world and they are keen to have their own road safety vehicle and message as a result of communicating our vision.”
Christmas 2009-10
Van 2 - Arkleston, Paisley
Message: The danger and damage caused by drink driving

Over the Christmas period the Shell partnership expanded to Paisley. Over the Christmas period a van was displayed at a Shell forecourt in the town with details of the tragic case of Aaron and Ben who were killed by a drink driver.
The van raised awareness at a key time when drink driving can increase over the festive period. The impact was phenomenal with many Shell customers commenting on the van and complimenting our campaign.
The impact and influence of this campaign on the public has been excellent. We look forward to building on our partnership with Shell.
